All about Courtney
A Los Angeles-based interior designer, Courtney Delancey has been transforming homes and offices for over ten years. A hands-on designer and artist, she believes that the key to creating a beautiful space is making it functional for the people who inhabit it.
As part of her process, Courtney strives to build a relationship with her clients, using it as a foundation for envisioning their space. By becoming familiar with their daily routines and process, she is able to design an enduring space that works in harmony with their lifestyle.
With a Masters in Fine Art, Courtney excels in developing and extending color palettes, selecting fabrics and sourcing textiles. She is especially adept at reinventing already existing pieces through re-facing, refinishing and reupholstering. She is also skilled at developing custom window treatments utilizing colors, textures and patterns that eloquently tie a space together.
Originally from New York with a slight accent to prove it, Courtney’s designs combine city sophistication with relaxed coastal sensibilities. She has designed traditional, contemporary, and modern spaces for individuals and families. She brings a sense of warmth and color to every space she designs.
Courtney’s home in Venice, which she shares with her husband and 4 kids, is a Nantucket-inspired house that pays homage to summers spent at Fire Island with her family while growing up.
Her home and work have been featured in the publications Coastal Living and This Old House. She has also been featured in the Venice Home and Garden Tour. Her favorite way to spend a weekend is strolling flea markets with a tape measure and a good cup of coffee. Her kids love this too!
